Oscar & Ewan.

I have been following the design duo of Oscar & Ewan for a few years now, but haven’t paid their site a visit in some time. Checking out some of their older work (from 2008) I came across this simple, yet amazing project they did for Nike Football.

“A miniature stadium within an old dining table, relating football to the community of a family. Commissioned for Nike and SHOWstudio’s Art of Football shown in Art Basel, 2008. The stadium plan was waterjet cut into the table top and each layer was lowered down in towards the centre. An old Anglepoise lamp was used to mimic stadium floodlighting.”

Seems like this is the approach that Pixar and Disney are taking.
